IT Network Engineer Senior – London
Ref: ITNE2309 Our client is looking for a Senior IT Network Engineer with a experience of Cisco Routers and Switches plus configuring VLAN’s on Cisco Switches, IP routing protocols, addressing and subnets to join their information technology team, this is an important opportunity and exciting role within this multination financial services company.
Responsible: Provide IT technical analysis and support for production network services. Liaison between the project manager’s, developers, infrastructure technicians and service delivery team in support of infrastructure issues and new projects. Provide production support for mission critical applications. Provide 2nd Level Network Support to IT Help Desk. Some UK travel required for Network equipment installations and special projects. Provide technical advices to the senior management and mentoring to the junior members in the division Assist Global Network Director in developing network strategy Experience and Required Skills: You will ideally have 6 years of network integration experience. Strong understanding of Cisco Routers and Switches. Strong working knowledge of configuring VLAN’s on Cisco Switches. In depth working knowledge of IP routing protocols and understanding of IP addressing and subnets. In depth knowledge of MPLS services. Must be experienced with MS Office Suite and a diagramming tool (e.g., Visio) Network security experience using multiple vendors. Strong Cisco Wireless experience, IP Telephony experience. Ideally skills to CCNA level or above for Access, Core & WAN products. Hands on experience of Cisco Callmanager 6.0 and Unity Connection. Ability to create support documentation as & to explain problems / solutions. Familiarity with use of Network Management tools an advantage. Employee and project management skills. Bonus exp: CU Ops Manager, CU Service Monitor, Cisco RTM, CiscoSecure ACS. Working knowledge of SolarWinds Tool Set. Experience with NetMRI tools.
