Our client, a world's leading manufacturer of photonics design and simulation
software, seeks a European Sales Manager with sales experience in the
telecoms, photonics or semiconductor markets to continue growth of it's
market share in Europe.
You will:
·Manage sales and marketing activities of design and simulation
software in the photonics and telecommunications fields across Europe.
·Management of and collaboration with overseas distributors.
·Attendance at exhibitions and conferences around Europe.
·Managing technical support with support engineers based in the
USA.
Experience:
·Degree in physics, electronic engineering or optics or similar.
·Sales and marketing experience in a very highly technical field.
·Experience of sales into the telecoms, photonics or semiconductor
fields.
·Demonstrable ability to work off own initiative and be highly
self motivated.
·Willingness to travel to Europe once a months and to the USA.
·Full UK driving licence and access to own car, but this in not
a field role.
Preferred
·Masters or higher degree in optics, photonics etc
·Exp. of design and simulation software.
·Exp. of components or telecoms systems.
·Business development and / or marketing experience.
Salary package: £40k realistic OTE Based: Company based in Essex
but some working from home is possible.

is looking for an Opto-Electronic Design Engineer to lead the research,
development and design process of the next generation of products through
to production. The right candidate could have a few years postgraduate
experience or might be a senior design engineer or potential director.
They are looking for the right individual who can share the drive and
passion of the Directors.
Typical applications for their
products are machine vision, security, military and ITS (Intelligent Transportation
Systems) and the systems are predominantly Infra-Red LED and visible White-Light
LED and used mainly in conjunction with CCD or CMOS cameras.
Experience:
+ 2-10 years design experience in optics, optical systems, photonics and
electronic development on LED, CCD or CMOS camera, light and infra Red,
lighting technology and lens systems.
Good experience of power supply, electronic circuits and PCB layouts that
will be used to drive LED. Good R&D, lab and testing skills.
Ability to working as part of a team and/or manage a team of skills professions.
Relevant technologies: LED's, Power Supplies, Lighting, Lenses, CCD &
CMOS Cameras, Megapixel cameras, Design Power Supply and PCB including
circuit design, PCB layout

Our client is looking for a
Satellite Access Station Engineer to coordinate, operate and maintain
the SAS site facilities and services initially located in the North of
the Netherlands.
Occasionally work will be carried out in London or at Fucino Ground Station
in Italy.
The candidate will be required initially to participate in the appropriate
training programs, the integration and test activities of the BGAN site
facilities and the bringing of the site to full operational readiness.
Production and verification of operation and maintenance procedures to
run the BGAN will also be an important task of the post.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with equipment suppliers, witness factory acceptance tests prior
to site installation
Participate in the site acceptance integration and testing activities
Participate in the evaluation and commissioning of the SAS site for operational
readiness
Evaluate impact of configurations changes on operational requirements
Provide engineering support to the operations team at the SAS site
Flexibility to work out of working hours to support special activities
and/or critical operations is also required
Liaise with Network Operation Centre (NOC)
You will have:·
Technical education in electronics
or telecommunications from a technical college or technical school
· Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in packed data, specifically
GSM, GPRS and UMTS
· Experience in data networking, Signalling 7, TCP/IP, Internet
protocols
· Good knowledge of measurements techniques analogue and digital
· Fluency in English language required
· Good PC skills with knowledge of MS Windows, Database programs
and Web based programs
