The principal CAD engineer will coordinate the activities of our clients CAD support group based on the requirements of our design groups. As Cadence administrator you will be the contract person for internal and external IC-CAD software suppliers and peer support groups. You will keep our design tools and design methods state of the art. You will work closely with a team of application and system managers to help our designers overcome CAD problems in their projects. Further career training will be available.

Profile: Master / Bachelor level degree in electronics or related discipline. Appearance with IC design tools and flows. Strong communication skills and customer orientations. Team player.

Intranet Technical Team Expert

Reports to: IS Development Manager (Telecommunication & Navigation D)
Purpose:(Mission) To provide expert technical advise and guidance to the IS Development Manager and the Development Team. To support and develop systems within the agreed IS standards and strategy.
Qualifications/Experience required: Degree or equivalent work experience. At least 8 years experience working in an IS environment. Forward thinking and practical person with good interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of IS/IT support and development.
Key Relationships: (Internal/External Relationships) Internal With system managers, technical and user staff to ensure full business requirement understanding for system build. With Support Team to ensure the smooth transition of new and replacement software to production. With Development Team as mentor External With third party suppliers, service vendors and contract staff to ensure common product and service understanding.
Key Accountabilities: (Main Activities) Liaise with senior IS/IT managers to understand and advise on technical needs and strategy. Maintain a watching brief on external IT/IS trends and technologies and advises senior IT/IS managers. Analyse needs, and develop solutions to meet users business requirements. Ensure that development standards are adhered to and maintained. Report progress and control technical issue resolution. Provide technical training and mentoring to the development team staff.
Essential: Graduate level education in IT related discipline Desirable: Good business experience and excellent communication ability. Essential: Visual interdev, Visual basic, HTML, ASP, SQL, Access, Sequel Server or Oracle. Desirable: XML, C or C++, ADO, COM, DCOM, ASP+, Net, MTS.

New CAD Operators

Our client has a requirement for contract CAD operators for both AutoCAD and Microstation working in their office in Sale, Northwest England on short and medium term/length contracts - anything from 4 weeks to 1 year.

NEW Senior Network Systems Engineer

Senior Network Systems Engineer South Coast of England - Permanent Position. The right candidate will have: More than 5 years post-graduate experience in Communications Systems with Engineering Management experience, a methodical approach to the work with sufficient commitment and drive to see the task through even where adverse conditions are encountered, strong analytical skills. Experience of working direct with customers and will be able to demonstrate a capability of presenting ideas and concepts to the customer. the ability to efficiently organise and co-ordinate their work with the ability to provide innovative solutions and to communicate them.

Specific Tasks to be Undertaken: One or more of the following: Management and technical direction of an engineering team Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all milestones are clearly defined and are Technical reporting to internal management and customer End-to-end communications network design and development (architecture, baseband, modem, RF, security)End-to-end management system design development and specification (management architecture, protocols, security)End-to-end network performance analysis (capacity, QoS performance)System specification development System sub-element specification System test strategy development and Validation, Verification and Test plan documentation Experience Required: Work Mandatory.

A proven track record in two or more of the following: Engineering team management, Communications system network design and implementation, digital and analogue communications, communications protocols, network management system and protocols, system and sub-system specification writing, requirements management and tracing. Desirable. A proven track record in two or more of the following: SATCOM systems (spacecraft and/or ground terminals), Military systems (networks and applications), cryptographic systems and network security, TCP/IP, ATM, Multiple Access Protocols, DAMA, Modem systems, RF systems. Tools/ Equipment Mandatory: PC literate, Microsoft Office. Desirable: OpNet, HP Advanced Design System, Visual Basic, NetViz, DOORS Qualifications: Good honours degree in Engineering/Electronics/Science/Mathematics. Personal Qualities: Team player, organised, communicative and determined with the ability to work on their own initiative.

I.T. Support Person

Training employees on hardware and software issues (the ability to train to a high standard on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel would be wonderful)
Providing day-to-day trouble-shooting support on PCs and phones
Helping maintain the company website
Helping create and maintain a new company intranet
Installing new PCs to the network when needed
Installing / re-patching telephones when needed
Installing and updating software (mainly Microsoft Office)
Operating scanners.

The only language you must have is English
